2019, the Android operating system has become 12 years old. Android was first
developed by Android Inc, but was purchased by Google in 2005 and was first
introduced in 2007, although its commercial launch took place on 23 September
2008. After launching today, the 10th version of Android is in many existing
smartphones in 2019. Android 10 was launched on 3 September 2019 this year.

First Android phone features
Today, even though all
Android phones are getting touch screen, you will be surprised to know that
earlier Android phones did not have touch screen, but slider keyboards and
navigation buttons like trackball were given. The first Android phone was sold
in the US by the moniker under the name of G1, while in other markets it was
also called HTC Dream. The G1 / HTC Dream had 1150 mAh battery, Qualcomm
processor and 256 MB RAM. It had a 3.2 inch display. This phone also did not
have a headphone jack.

A year after the popularity
of the first phone, the second Android phone was launched, which got the name
HTC Magic. It was launched in 2009. It was also launched in India in 2009
itself and with it HTC Magic became the first Android phone to be launched in
India. Its price was around 30 thousand rupees. It had 288 MB RAM, Android 1.6
donut, 3.15 megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 with a 3.2 inch display.
