purchase third party insurance for cars, motorcycles and scooters from June 16.
Third party insurance premium rates have been increased from 12 to 21 percent

insurance companies. For instance, the simple insurance company ICICI Lombard
is a big player in the Third Party Insurance Segment. Third party insurance
premiums contribute about 30 percent of the company's books. Apart from this
company, companies like GIC, New India Assurance will also have very good
profits. Its participation in total premium of GIC is 8-9 percent.
There will be so much
premium on the car
If you have a small car of
up to 1000 cc then now you have to pay a new premium of 2072 rupees. Earlier it
had to pay 1850 rupees. Similarly if you have a car from 1000 cc to 1500 cc
then now you have to pay a premium of Rs 3221. Earlier this premium was Rs
2863. Also, the cars above 1500 cc will have to pay Rs. 7890. Earlier, the
premium was the same. No changes have been made in this.
Bike will have to pay so
much premium
If you do two-wheeler, if
you have a two-wheeler up to 75 cc then Third Party Insurance Premium will now
be Rs 482. Earlier it was 427 rupees. Now, 75 percent of the premium of 75 cc
and upto 150 cc two-wheeler will be paid. First it was 720 rupees. Vehicles up
to 150 cc to 350 cc will have to pay Rs 1193. The first was 985 rupees and on
the two-wheeler of 350 cc, there would be a premium of 2323 rupees (as before).
