it has been put in the 5300 million market so far.
Earlier, in January, the FPI
had withdrawn Rs 5,264 crore from the Indian stock exchanges.
Foreign Portfolio Investors
(FPI) has invested Rs 5,300 crore in the domestic stock market in the first
fortnight of February. The key reason for this is to remain positive about the
2019-20 interim budget. Earlier, in January, the FPI had withdrawn Rs 5,264
crore from the Indian stock exchanges.
Depository data, between
February 1-15, FPI invested a total of Rs 5,322 crore in the Indian stock
market. However, during the same period, the FPI cleared Rs 248 crore from the
bond market. Thus, FPI has invested Rs 5,074 crore purely in debt and equity
markets.
Experts believe that India
is one of the emerging economies of the world due to which FPI remained purely
buyers in February. Harsha Jain, Chief Operating Officer of Grow said that
heavy investment in the stock exchanges could be a result of the positive
attitude towards the interim budget. Although India is one of the emerging
economies of the world, investors will be careful about the elections till the
elections.
